Whichever route you go, you are assured of one thing: profits!

When deciding to add a cryotherapy modality for your business, there are many things you can consider.

The business model, the kind of machines you should invest in, and also the basics for running the business.

What are some of the top things you should consider when introducing cryotherapy? Let’s break it down.

A Quality Cryotherapy Machine

Here’s what you already know: you’re going to need a cryotherapy machine for your cryotherapy center…

But here’s what you may NOT know. Every cryotherapy machine is different because of the features of the machine. With this in mind, what features should you be on the lookout for?

Safety

After the 2015 cryotherapy accident, several questions about the safety of cryotherapy were raised. How safe will I be in a cryotherapy machine? Will my clients freeze to death? To be fair, all these are legitimate questions as it’s difficult to get into an enclosed space with very low temperatures and not have safety concerns.

The XR chamber comes with various safety features including an emergency stop button and an emergency shut-off valve that can be activated in case of a power outage or the stop button fails to work. This cryotherapy machine also requires an operator to be present during sessions, eliminating risks of clients having sessions unattended.

The XR chamber has a pulse oxygen sensor to keep the client aware of their vitals during sessions (for entertainment purposes only).

Security

How secure is the cryotherapy machine you plan to buy? The XR chamber can only run with an operator present and has a fingerprint feature that requires 2 fingerprints for the machine to run.  The first set of prints should belong to an authorized operator while the other set of an authorized user. The operator has to undergo testing to make sure they understand how the machine works.

The doors of this cryo machine have been designed so that they can’t fully lock and come with proximity sensors that can detect when the door is opened.

A Good Design

As a business owner you are more interested in the features of a cryo machine and its functionality. Your customer’s won’t care much about that. They will be more interested in the exterior outlook of the machine and how well it is designed.

The XR chamber has a beautiful sleek design that your customers will love and is durable.

Cryotherapy Business Projections

The main reason you are in business is to make profits. Here’s some good news for you: currently the cryotherapy market is worth billions, a figure that is expected to rise in 5 years. Conduct local research to find out how much existing cryocenters are charging for their services and whether there is an unexploited gap you could take advantage of.

If you plan on using a standalone model, factor in all startup costs against the expected income to get a rough estimate of the profit projections. Integrating cryotherapy into an existing model is considerably cheaper as you only have to look for a spare room to put the cryo machine.

Cryotherapy Business Location

This should in part be determined by your target audience. Which area do they frequent most? Is your business located in a high traffic area? How much visibility will you get? Where you set up your cryocenter has a lot to do with the success of your business. Pick an optimal location where your target audience can easily access your center.

Top Precautions of a Cryotherapy Business

When buying a machine for your cryotherapy business ensure that customer safety has been sufficiently addressed.  The one question your customers will ask repeatedly is how safe they will be in the cryochamber. You need to have a deep look at the machine’s features so that you are able to convince them that their safety is guaranteed.

Make sure the machine is secure and that it has an appealing design.
